The company is run by Lenny. His background has always been in engineering, starting with sports and performance cars and he joined the Royal British Navy in 1998 as an engineer working predominantly on submarines. He served as an engineer with the Navy for 17 years before leaving as a Petty Officer in 2005. Since prior to leaving the Navy, Lenny has worked on Landrovers from his premises in Helensburgh under the name The Yard, Helensburgh.
